Rotop: A magnetically controlled Spinning Top

This spinning top acts out of the norm

A normal spinning top is modified by attaching a small S-03-01-N disc magnet to its axis. A larger S-10-05-N disc magnet is held in hand and moved over the top (without touching it). The horizontal direction that the top moves in can be altered by the larger magnet.
In the film: a manipulated top in the form of a hexagon collides with a rubber ball.
The manipulated top collides with a glass marble.
Two manipulated tops collide into each other. They will often then collide several times due to the Bernoulli Effect.

Professor Grosu (shown in the photo at the Inventor's Convention in Geneva) is looking for a partner to develop a commercial use for his invention. He can be contacted via e-mail (in English) at [email protected] and at [email protected].
